Arts Therapy for Burnout, Emotional Healing & Self-Realisation

Support for women, neurodivergent people & those navigating trauma or systemic stress.

Point Cook Practice, Mobile across Melbourne’s West & Geelong, Online Australia wide.

Arts therapy offers a gentle and creative way to explore what you’re carrying when words feel difficult, overwhelming, or simply not enough. It’s a space to slow down, express what’s beneath the surface, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels safe.

I work with women experiencing burnout, anxiety, neurodivergent people, and those navigating the impact of trauma. These lived experiences often include facing discrimination, exclusion, or systems that have not made space for them to flourish and reveal their full potential.

Many people come to therapy feeling exhausted from holding everything together for too long. Others feel disconnected from themselves, stuck in survival mode, or unsure of how to make sense of what they’re feeling. Together, we create space to work through these experiences at a pace that feels comfortable.

A Creative Space for Healing & Reconnection

In our sessions, you are invited to explore your inner world through creative expression in whatever form feels right for you. This might include drawing, writing, movement, or simply noticing what arises in the process.

There is no expectation to create something “great” or to explain yourself perfectly. We follow your pace, your comfort, and what feels supportive in the moment.

Alongside arts therapy, I integrate counselling skills and CBT-informed strategies when appropriate, to support reflection, grounding, and practical coping tools. This allows sessions to include both creative exploration and gentle, supportive ways of making sense of thoughts, emotions, and patterns.

About Your Therapist

I’m Chrissie, a qualified Arts Therapist with a Masters in Arts Therapy, Diploma in Counselling (AQF), and a background in community development, social work and training.

My practice is trauma-informed, neuroaffirming, and grounded in genuine care, respect, and inclusivity. I draw on arts therapy, alongside counselling skills and CBT-informed approaches.

I’m especially passionate about supporting women experiencing burnout, neurodiverse people, and those navigating the impact of systemic stress and exclusion.

"… the embodiment of sensed and felt knowings can, through movement or reenactment, release feelings into emotions front within the body, bringing their felt understandings into connection with kinaesthetic imagery experienced but never processed.

The body holds powerful memories of such experiencing that are able to be accessed" (Lett, W., 2011).
